Sponsorship may focus on individual student needs, cohorts, specific training pathways, credentials, work gear, transportation, or other areas aligned with the organization's goals and HLS's developing programs.
Responsible Student Support
Support Should Follow Real Student Need.
HLS intends for student-support resources to be used responsibly and in ways consistent with program needs, donor intent, applicable requirements, and the Academy's mission.
Specific sponsorship structures, eligibility standards, restricted funds, scholarship criteria, and award processes may evolve as HLS programs and enrollment systems are developed.
For that reason, the Academy does not currently represent a fixed dollar amount as the cost to sponsor an individual student unless a particular program or fund has formally established one.
501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization
HLS Maritime Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions may be tax-deductible depending on applicable law and the donor's individual circumstances. Donors should consult their own qualified advisors regarding deductibility, documentation, and reporting requirements.
